As mentioned in the 'Rules' post, a new addition to the entry requirements this year is a short bio to accompany your entry. Below is the information you will need to include; the actual bios I'll compile myself to make sure they remain as 'anonymous' as possible.
Here are the details you will need to provide for your entry:
1. Name of entry
2. Country and year entry allocated to
3. Name of artist
4. Where artist is from
5. Whether they have any connection to ESC
6. Year of release of entry
7. Short explanation of why you feel your entry is a good match for the year and country you've allocated it to and any other info you feel is pertinent... to fend off or win over nitpickers ;)
I'll use my own entry from last year as an example.
1. Láska je věc kouzelná
2. Czechoslovakia 1972
3. Plavci
4. Czech Republic/Slovakia
5. No connection
6. 1971
7. As both Slovakia and the Czech Republic have taken part in Eurovision since splitting up, I figured they might have back in the day given the opportunity, and this song seemed like just the kind of thing a country from Eastern Europe might have gone for at the time. The group were very popular in their country during this era, which would have made them frontrunners to represent it at Eurovision.
Something like that, anyway. We'll try it this year and see how it goes - I'm introducing it based on feedback from last year. If it turns out to be too contentious or simply a bit useless, I might drop it again. That said, if the entries are good enough matches to start with there shouldn't be any room for argument ;)
So get thinking about your entry *and* what you'll say about it!
